  • By QR code or link. On a poster, a payslip or a canteen screen. There is no need to register: people just scan the code or follow the link to take part.
  • On paper. We share forms for you to print. Scanned forms with handwritten answers are read automatically and imported alongside all your other responses, so nobody is left out and nobody retypes.
  • By email and on the web, on any phone, tablet or computer, for people who live in their inbox or would rather answer on a bigger screen.
  • By video, transcribed automatically, for people who would rather talk than type.
  • In their own language. Surveys run in over 100 languages, so people can take part in the language they know best, whichever channel they use.

Questions people ask

How do I survey staff who don't have a work email?

With a mobile number, a QR code, a link or a paper form. There is no need to register: people scan the code or follow the link to take part. No email address is needed.

Can employees answer on WhatsApp or by SMS?

Yes. The whole survey happens inside the WhatsApp chat, one question at a time. It is not a link to a web form. SMS works the same way.

Do employees need an app?

No. They answer by email, in WhatsApp or by SMS, which they already have, or by scanning a QR code with their phone's camera. There is nothing to install and no password to remember.

Are answers anonymous?

That depends on how you set each survey up, not on how people answer it. A survey can be anonymous or confidential. In a confidential survey, results are only shown for groups of six or more.

Is WhatsApp allowed under GDPR?

Yes, when the employer has obtained consent.

Which languages can surveys run in?

Surveys can run in over 100 languages.

How does paper work?

We share paper forms for you to print, which can then be scanned. Our platform reads the handwritten answers automatically and adds them to the same results as every other channel.

What size of organisation is Ten Space for?

Any size. Ten Space's clients range from teams of 20 to organisations of more than 30,000 people. Results are only shown for groups of six or more, so a very small team sees fewer breakdowns.

Does Ten Space work outside the UK?

Yes. Ten Space is based in the UK and works with organisations wherever their people are. We have run surveys with employees in around 20 countries, and surveys can run in over 100 languages. Support runs in UK office hours, with out-of-hours escalation for anything urgent. Contracts are under the law of England and Wales, charges are in pounds sterling, and your data is hosted in London wherever your people are.
