Better conversations.

Better teams.

One-to-ones in Ten Space give the two people in any regular conversation, such as a manager and a member of their team, or a coach and the person they support, a shared agenda, with notes and actions kept against every talking point. It is for organisations that want those conversations to happen, and to lead somewhere.

One-to-ones that lead somewhere.

  • Share an agenda of talking points, each marked discussed, delayed or cancelled.
  • Keep notes and actions against each point.
  • Link the goals you are talking about.
  • Add attachments.
  • Look back over the history of every conversation.
  • Include trackable one-to-ones in your appraisal or 360 process.

Conversations that matter, with help to have them.

Most people who become managers in the UK start without any training for it: 82% had no formal management or leadership training when they moved into the role, according to the Chartered Management Institute. Yet regular conversations matter: Gallup found that employees whose managers hold regular meetings with them are almost three times as likely to be engaged.

One-to-ones in Ten Space give each conversation a shared agenda of talking points, so managers know what to cover and their people know what to expect. Notes, actions and linked goals keep each conversation leading somewhere, and help people grow.

A record HR can see, and act on.

Without a record of one-to-ones, HR can be asked to act on a performance problem with no evidence of what was discussed, or of the support that was given. Acas advises employers to keep a record of any conversation about performance, and says that dismissing someone for capability needs evidence of the support they were given to improve.

Your policy may say one-to-ones happen every month, but without a record there is no way to know. In the CIPD's Good Work Index 2026, 15% of UK employees said they never meet their line manager to discuss their performance.

In Ten Space every one-to-one is kept with its notes and actions. So HR can see whether conversations are happening, step in early, and give learning and development teams what they need to help someone improve.

Fairer reviews, built on the employee's full history.

A once-a-year review depends on what one person remembers about the whole year. Only 29% of employees strongly agree their performance reviews are fair, Gallup found.

In Ten Space, one-to-ones link to appraisals and 360s. So a review can draw on the employee's full history of recorded conversations, notes and actions, and on what other people have said, not on memory alone.
