Accessibility

statement

How our website, survey pages and platform measure up to WCAG 2.2 AA.

This statement was last updated on 22 October 2026.

This statement covers three parts of Ten Space, and each is assessed separately:

We assess each part against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at level AA. Ten Space is not a public sector body, so the public sector accessibility regulations don't apply to us directly. This statement gives the information those regulations ask for, so that clients who must meet them can see where we stand.

Ten Space Tech Ltd runs all three, and is committed to making each of them accessible.

Contact us about accessibility

If you find a problem not listed on this page, or you think we're not meeting accessibility requirements, contact us:

If you need information in a different format, like an accessible PDF, large print, easy read, audio recording or braille, contact us in the same way.

We'll consider your request, and aim to get back to you within 10 working days.

Part 1: the Ten Space website

This part covers www.tenspace.co.uk.

Using the website

We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website.

For example, that means you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts using browser or device settings
  • zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the website using just a keyboard or speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader
  • turn animations off with the switch at the bottom of every page

Compliance status of the website

This website is fully compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard. We don't know of any part of it that fails the standard.

Content we don't control

Our blog posts link to reports published by other organisations, some of them as PDFs. We don't control those documents.

How we tested the website

The website was last tested on 19 October 2026 against the WCAG 2.2 AA standard, using a combination of automated tools and manual testing. All failures were fixed within 2 working days.

Part 2: answering a survey

This part covers the web pages employees use to answer a Ten Space survey.

Taking part in a survey

Your employer sets up each survey, and chooses how you can answer it: by email, WhatsApp, SMS, QR code or even paper. Surveys can run in over 100 languages.

If you can't answer a survey the way it reached you, ask the person in your organisation who sent it whether you can take part another way. You can also contact us, using the details above.

On the survey pages, you should be able to:

  • answer every type of question using just a keyboard
  • listen to each question and its answers using a screen reader
  • hear a survey read in its own language, including languages written right to left
  • be told when your answer is saved, and which question you're on
  • see why an answer needs changing, next to the answer

Compliance status of the survey pages

The survey pages are partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard. Ten Space's survey components, the question types and the pages that hold them, are compliant. We can't guarantee compliance where a client uses its own branding, or customises a question to include pictures or other content that isn't text.

Known issues on the survey pages

Your organisation's branding. Your organisation can apply its own colours to its surveys. We don't check those colours, so some text or buttons may not stand out enough from their background. This may fail WCAG 2.2 success criteria 1.4.3 (contrast (minimum)) and 1.4.11 (non-text contrast). We give clients guidance on choosing colours, below.

In the meantime, if a survey is hard to read, ask the person who sent it whether you can take part another way, or contact us.

Pictures and other content that isn't text. A client can add pictures or other content that isn't text to a question. If it carries information the question doesn't give in words, people who can't see it may miss that information. This may fail WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.1.1 (non-text content). We ask clients to put whatever a question needs into its words, below.

In the meantime, if you can't tell what a question's picture shows, ask the person who sent the survey, or contact us.

Keeping your surveys accessible

If your organisation runs surveys on Ten Space, what you add to them affects how accessible they are:

  • if you apply your own colours, give text a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 with its background (3:1 for large text), and give buttons and other controls at least 3:1. WebAIM's contrast checker works these out for you
  • if a question includes a picture or other content that isn't text, say in the question's words whatever people need from it to answer
  • write questions in plain language
  • offer another way to take part, such as paper, to anyone who asks

Content we don't control

Surveys sent by WhatsApp, SMS or email are read in apps made by other companies. We don't control how accessible those apps are.

How we tested the survey pages

We test the survey components ourselves. Each time they change, every question type is checked against WCAG 2.2 AA with an automated testing tool, and answered using only a keyboard.

Part 3: the Ten Space platform

This part covers the Ten Space platform, which HR teams, leaders and managers sign in to. They use it to set up and send surveys, read results and dashboards, and run 360s, appraisals, goals and one-to-ones.

Compliance status of the platform

The Ten Space platform is not compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard. Some parts of it don't yet meet the standard, and we haven't yet tested all of it.

In the meantime, if something on the platform is hard for you to use, contact us and we'll help you with it.

What we're doing to improve the platform

We want everyone who uses the Ten Space platform at work to be able to use it fully, whatever their needs. We're improving its accessibility step by step, and we'll update this statement as we go.

We'd welcome feedback from people with specific needs who use the platform. Tell us what makes it hard to use, and which tasks matter most to you, using the contact details above. What you tell us helps us decide which parts to improve first.
