SMS works the same way. The same survey can also run by email, QR code or even paper, so each person answers in the way that suits them, and every answer arrives in one place.
Reminders
Reminders go by email, WhatsApp or SMS, timed to the invitation, the deadline or a part-finished survey. People who have already answered aren't chased.
Is WhatsApp allowed under GDPR?
WhatsApp is allowed by GDPR. Meta also requires that the employer has obtained consent for the employee to receive communication over WhatsApp.
Languages and confidentiality
Surveys can be run in many different languages, but not all are available with WhatsApp. How a survey handles people's identity is set for each survey, whatever channel they answer by. With the ethics filter enabled (our most common setup), results are only shown for groups of six or more.
